INTERNET APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT
MID MARKET ERP DEVELOPMENT

Team Foundation Service is a relatively new service from Microsoft. Many features are still being improved and many are under development. Today I found an interesting new feature available in TFService, chatting room!
Back to the topic, I didn't know that a team project could be deleted until I noticed that there is permission for that. I did some research and found an executable file under your Visual Studio installation folder named TFSDeleteProject.exe. For example, mine is inside the folder "D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 11.0\Common7\IDE". This executable allows us to delete a team project.
Here is how you execute this to delete a team project from TFService:
1. Open command prompt and go to the folder where the executable file resides.
2. Enter this command to delete a project:
TfsDeleteProject /collection:https://<Your Account>.visualstudio.com/DefaultCollection <Project to Delete>
An alternate and easier way is to just open the Developer Command Prompt, and directly enter the command from the second step above.
Why didn't I think of this? This is a very useful tool.
