Recently, I received a customization request from one of our business partners about the integration between SharePoint and Sage 300 ERP. The client uses SharePoint to manage their customers. To have the customer records synchronize with Sage 300 ERP (Accpac), they need a custom program that sends new and updated customer records from SharePoint to Sage 300 ERP through the staging table. This generates new customers or update existing customer records in AR Customer.
As long as the users finish the simple integration setup below and create the task in Windows Scheduler, the custom program can runs automatically at predefined intervals to synchronize the customer records in the two systems. After the customer records have been created/updated in Sage 300 ERP, the program automatically sends an email to inform relevant users about the results.
With this integration, the client no longer worries about the inconsistency and accuracy of the customer records in the two systems anymore.
